It does not advise on how those rules apply to any particular person, business or set of facts — and the distinction is real, because the same rule can produce different answers on different facts.

Anyone who needs advice on their own circumstances should take it from someone able to give it, which this site is not. Publishing an explanation of what a rule says is not the practice of law; applying it to a reader’s own facts would be, and doing that without a license is the unauthorized practice of law. That line is why this site describes rules and stops there.

Rules change

Licensing rules and the figures inside them are amended. Every page here that states a rule or a figure records the date those facts were last checked against the source, and that date is the honest limit of what the page can claim. A page checked months ago may have been overtaken since.

Errors

Reasonable care does not mean certainty. If something here is wrong, the contact page is the way to say so.
